INTRODUCING: Grant Writing Workshops that demystify what reviewers are really looking for and destress the application process…

…increasing your chances of getting approved for grant funding so that you can continue researching and shaping our planet

My name is Sheila Cherry, PhD, ELS, Founder, President and Senior Editor of Fresh Eyes Editing, and I know what it’s like to go through the arduous task of preparing and submitting a grant application…only to have it come back denied.

When I was first starting out as a researcher and this happened to me, I felt depressed, angry, ashamed, and embarassed…

Most of all, I was upset that I hadn’t been properly prepared for the grant writing and submission process…which is arguably the most important step in research.

After all, without funding, the science can’t continue, and the research project is dead on the table.

That’s why I’ve made it my mission to help as many people as I can to successfully submit their grant applications and receive funding.

I’ve been pretty successful at that mission, too…

Since 2009, my company, Fresh Eyes Editing, has helped scientists in the US alone get more than $30million in federal funding.

“I am so grateful for your contribution to our program [grant application]. It is significantly improved over last year’s submission due, in no small part, to your efforts. I definitely will call on you again…Well worth the investment.”David Bellinger, Ph.D., Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health

And now, I am creating the opportunity to help more people than ever before, by teaching my grant-application writing system at institutions across the nation in the form of interactive and intensive workshops.

My grant writing and application workshops are highly flexible to the audience that I am teaching.

For example, if your group is somewhat familiar with the application process, but just needs extra help in making sure that future submissions are the best they can be, a one-day writing workshop might be the best fit.

On the other hand, if your group has never had to submit applications before and has next to no idea what the process involves, then my 2-day intensive beginner bootcamp, where I teach grant writing and applications from A to Z, would be a great choice.

These are not boring, one-size-fits-all, impractical lectures where students walk away wondering what it was they got out of it..

These are custom-tailored, interactive, and practical workshops that give real-world advice and battle-tested techniques for successfully submitting grant applications.

I don’t just teach the workshop and leave, however, as I can also include an 8-week online course that culminates in a written and peer-scored grant proposal (NIH, NSF, foundations) that allow the researchers who go through my program to reinforce what they learned in my workshops and put it into action.

Everything I do in these workshops is aimed at helping researchers gain a fundamental understanding of how to craft a grant proposal that demystifies the process and gets reviewers interested.

Ultimately, the result is that their projects and your institution can more reliably receive grant funding and create life-changing science.

If you are ready to learn more about how you can host or participate in a workshop of your own, please fill out the form below. We will schedule a free call where we can determine what your needs are and I can answer any questions you may have.
